Through years of supporting people affected by gambling harms, Ara saw a clear need for earlier intervention. Too many people were reaching out for help only after gambling had already taken a serious toll on their lives, relationships and wellbeing.
That’s why Ahead of the Game was created. By educating young people, parents, carers and professionals about the hidden risks of gambling before harm takes hold, we can help prevent gambling-related problems from developing in the first place.
Ahead of the Game brings together Ara’s deep understanding of gambling harms with a team of dedicated education and prevention specialists, delivering free workshops to schools, colleges, universities and youth organisations across Wales and the South West.
